BATON ROUGE (WGNO) – Tide’s Loads of Hope truck arrived in Baton Rouge Friday. The mobile washing unit will collect, wash, dry and fold laundry free of charge.

The Procter & Gamble team will also be handing out kits with deodorant, toothpaste, and shampoo, as well as household cleaning products like Bounty, Mr. Clean and Swiffer for Louisiana residents, affected most by the historic flooding in the state.

Tide says their truck is outfitted with 12 high-efficiency Whirlpool Duet washers and dryers can do about 100 loads of laundry each day.

Laundry will be collected from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bethany Church South Campus located at 10877 Reiger Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.

There is a limit of two loads of laundry per household.

An extended capacity semi-truck equipped with 32 energy-efficient Whirlpool washers and dryers will be in Louisiana next week.
