NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — One person is dead and two others injured after a shooting Wednesday night on Loyola and Julia street in the Central Business District.
According to NOPD, initial reports show two men were shot.
One man was pronounced dead on the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital by EMS.
Officers later discovered a third victim who was shot from the incident.
Police reported the third victim was a child who sustained non-gunfire-related abrasions and was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person/ people responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are available at this time.
