NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a 17-year-old boy wounded near the Algiers area on Sunday, April 14.

The NOPD reported the shooting happened at the intersection of Shepard and Farragut streets.

According to the NOPD, a 17-year-old boy was shot in his arm.

NOPD officials said the call came in around 4:37 p.m.
