18-year-old facing burglary charges following vehicle thefts in Washington Parish

BOGALUSA, La. (WGNO) — A teenager accused of several charges, including vehicle burglary, has been arrested.

According to the Bogalusa Police Department, on June 10, there were several vehicle burglaries reported in northern Bogalusa between Bankston Drive and continued to Caswell Avenue.

Officers said a vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Zhyion E. Brock, was seen on Avenue B but fled the area.

The vehicle crashed on West 9th Street, but Brock allegedly got away.

An investigation revealed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Washington Parish and issued arrest warrants in connection to the burglaries.

On June 17, officers said Brock was found and arrested after they received a call about a suspicious person at a home on Davis Street and a possible attempted burglary in progress.

Brock is being charged with three counts of vehicle burglary, two counts of attempted vehicle burglary, aggravated flight from an officer, illegal possession of stolen things, illegal possession of a firearm and fugitive from an outside agency.
