NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating after a man was shot and killed in Central City.

According to NOPD officers, around 2:15 a.m. on Monday, June 3, they were called to the 2400 block of Jackson Avenue on a report of a shooting in the area.

Upon arrival, officers said they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

An investigation revealed the victim was approached by two people in the area and shot.

He was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 32-year-old Mark Noble on Wednesday, June 5.
