UPDATE

On January 26, the New Orleans Police Department announced that Danielle and Tyrone Jones have been located.

The siblings, 2-years-old and 1-year-old, were found in good condition, according to the NOPD.

There is no word on the location of the two teenagers missing from the Rain Tree Girl’s Home.


NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Have you seen these missing children? Authorities are looking for siblings, 2-year-old Danielle Jones, and 1-year-old Tyrone Jones. According to their family members, the two missing babies were last seen on Friday, January 5.

According to the NOPD, the missing persons report was just filed on Sunday, January 16. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating these babies.

In a separate case, authorities are looking for two teens missing from the Rain Tree Girls Home.

Fifteen-year-old Jania Hamilton was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt, blue jeans, and a red backpack. Seventeen-year-old Tra’Keirria Richardson was last seen wearing a black and white shirt, blue jeans, and a purple bonnet.

They allegedly left the home without permission. If you’ve seen either of these young ladies, you are asked to call the police.


Due to the rise in violent crime throughout the city and the determination by every Councilmember on the new City Council to work toward solutions, Council President Helena Moreno is calling stakeholders in the criminal justice system to come before the Council.

NOPD Chief Shaun Ferguson has confirmed to address the Council during its full meeting on Thursday, January 20. A special meeting is called for Monday, January 24, to hear from District Attorney Jason Williams, criminal and juvenile court judges, re-entry and rehabilitation groups the First 72+ and VOTE, officials from Mayor Cantrell’s office and more.
