Editor’s Note: The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office initially identified a man who they believed to be the suspect in the investigation. The sheriff’s office has since confirmed that the man has been cleared and is no longer considered to be a suspect.

LAPLACE, La. (WGNO) — Deputies with the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office announced that 8-month-old Phil Baker has been found and is safe.
Officials with the Louisiana State Police announced the level II endangered/missing child advisory has been cancelled.
LAPLACE, La. (WGNO) — Deputies with the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a sexual assault and kidnapping on Tuesday, May 28.
The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the victim told detectives she was sexually assaulted and forced out of her car while traveling in LaPlace.
The suspect then allegedly drove away in the car with the woman’s 8-month-old child, identified by the sheriff’s office as Phil Baker.
The Louisiana State Police issued a level II endangered/missing child advisory for Phil.
LSP officials said Phil was last seen around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Belle Pointe Boulevard and U.S. 61.
LSP officials said Phil is described as 27 inches tall, 19 pounds, with black hair, blue eyes and a birthmark on his right shin.
