COVINGTON, La. (WGNO ) – The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s office arrested a former teacher with Archbishop Hannan High School for two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of distribution of marijuana.
Camille Brennan was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail Thursday afternoon, after turning herself in at the sheriff’s office.
Detectives had obtained warrants for Brennan’s arrest late Wednesday, May 20.
On May 1, 2015, Brennan supplied two juvenile female students at the school with brownies, laced with marijuana.
School officials were alerted to the incident by one of the girl’s parents that evening.
The same day, the school’s principal contacted the sheriff’s office and we immediately began an investigation.
On Wednesday, Brennan admitted to detectives that she supplied the girls with the marijuana brownies.
The investigation is on-going, and other charges might be forthcoming.
Brennan resigned from the school while under investigation in the case. Further questions regarding her employment should be directed to school administrators.
