HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — The Houma Police Department is investigating a home invasion turned shooting that was reported on Tuesday, Feb. 20.

The HPD reported officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 300 block of Roberta Grove Boulevard around 5:15 a.m.

At the scene, HPD officers said they spoke with the homeowner, who told them he heard a noise in his home and found the suspect downstairs.

The homeowner said he shot at the suspect, identified by the HPD as Dex Hebert, who allegedly ran away after.
