Lafourche Parish drug bust leads to three arrests

LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Three people are facing charges after guns, drugs and money were recovered in a drug bust in Lafourche Parish on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said agents searched a Lockport home after deputies received a report of drug activity in the area.

During the search, LPSO agents said they recovered about 10 pounds of marijuana, 24 Xanax pills, 24 Valium pills, 19 oxycodone pills, three clonazepam pills, about 6.7 pounds of mushrooms (psilocybin), paraphernalia, $3,289 in cash and seven guns.

LPSO officials said the guns recovered included two AK-47s, four semi-automatic pistols and a revolver.

At the home, detectives said they found 29-year-old Brett Loupe, 18-year-old Blaize Guidroz, 19-year-old Sadie Vedros and an 11-month-old child.

LPSO officials said Loupe, Guidroz and Vedros were charged in connection to the investigation.

Loupe faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute Xanax, Valium, marijuana and oxycodone, possession of psilocybin, possession of clonazepam, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.

Guidroz faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.

According to the LPSO, “Vedros was issued a criminal summons and charged with illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.”
