HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — A 60-year-old man was arrested following a drug bust in Terrebonne Parish.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office reported its narcotics and K-9 divisions, the TPSO Criminal Intelligence Unit, and the Houma Police Narcotics Division were called to investigate alleged drug activity at a home in the 7300 block of Park Avenue in February.
During the investigation, TPSO detectives said they identified Donald Ray Jackson as a suspect.
TPSO officials said detectives then obtained a warrant to search the home.
During the search, TPSO detectives said they recovered heroin, methamphetamines, prescription medication, marijuana, a stolen gun, $1,5000 in cash and “numerous items of drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of illegal narcotics.”
Jackson was arrested and faces two counts of possession with the intent to distribute CDS I, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute CDS II, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of CDS, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.
