HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — Deputies have arrested a man who’s accused of fatally stabbing a woman in Hammond over the weekend.

On Saturday, April 27, 31-year-old Carol Allen was found inside a car suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to a hospital but died from her injuries.

Allen was a mother of four from New Orleans.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office now reports 25-year-old Christopher Jerome Wilson, of Hammond, has been arrested in connection to her death.

He was arrested on Wednesday, May 1 in Natchitoches after calling police to help with low air in his bicycle tire.

According to the TPSO, investigators allege Wilson attacked Allen while they were on a date and tried to steal her car. That’s when Allen was stabbed multiple times.

He was charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery with a knife. He was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.

The TPSO also reported that he’s facing a charge of domestic abuse battery related to a different investigation.
