HARVEY, La. (WGNO) — A man is dead following a shooting in Harvey that happened early Friday morning, April 12.
According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call around 2:30 a.m. of a shooting in the 4100 block of Lac Du Bay Drive.
Upon arrival, deputies said a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound that was later determined to be life-threatening.
The man was taken to a hospital where he later died from his wounds.
The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
No further details are available at this time. JPSO deputies are in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
