NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a double shooting in the 7th Ward that sent a man and woman to a hospital.
According to NOPD officers, at 11:42 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, they responded to the 2900 block of New Orleans Street on a call of a shooting in the area.
Upon arrival, officers said the victims were found both suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to a hospital by EMS where they were listed to be in stable condition.
An investigation revealed that the victims were inside when an unidentified person started shooting.
No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
