MANDEVILLE, La. (WGNO) — Officers with the Mandeville Police Department are looking for a 17-year-old boy in connection with a shooting that took place along the city’s parade route on Friday, Feb. 2.

Mandeville police said officers responded to a report of a shooting on the parade route, near a McDonald’s restaurant on Highway 22, around 9:05 p.m.

At the scene, officers said a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

According to police, a fight led to shots fired in a crowd of juveniles and paradegoers.

Following an investigation, MPD detectives identified Tyryn Bailey as a suspect.

Bailey is wanted on charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery, reckless discharge of a firearm at a parade or demonstration and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
