NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Two people were killed by gunfire in New Orleans East Saturday night.

Police said around 9:00 p.m., they responded to two separate shots fired calls. Officers arrived in the 6000 block of Beechcraft Street to find a 17-year-old shot multiple times. He died at the scene.

The New Orleans coroner later identified the victim as Anthony McBride.

Reports showed a 31-year-old woman was also shot with her two-month-old child in the car. According to police, the car traveled from Beechcraft Street to the 3900 block of Downman Rd.

The woman died at a hospital. The baby was unharmed. The New Orleans coroner later identified the woman as Ronnisha Anderson.

Police believed a 20-year-old and 13-year-old who arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds were also shot on Beechcraft Street.

No suspect or motive has been identified.
