On Monday, June 21, the New Orleans Coroner identified the victim in this incident as 45-year-old Terrance Johnson.
The preliminary cause of death is listed as gunshot wounds.
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The NOPD has reported a homicide in the 1300 block of France Street.
At about 7:22 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, a man was found lying in the roadway and having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
An investigation is underway.
