UPDATE: The NOPD is seeking to locate a vehicle in the investigation of a homicide by shooting on March 30, 2021 in the 5900 block of Dwyer Road. The vehicle appears to be a 2014-2016 Acura MDX SUV, white in color.
NEW ORLEANS — The NOPD is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred at or near the intersection of Downman and Dwyer Roads at around 12:21 p.m. on Tuesday.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim outside on the sidewalk suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS, via a medical doctor.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
