NEW ORLEANS — The NOPD began investigating a fatal shooting around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting near the intersection of Nunez and Diana streets, in the Fourth District.
Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim, who was declared deceased on the scene.
Initial reports list cause of death as gunshot wound(s).
The New Orleans Police Department has classified this incident as a homicide.
