NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A New Orleans police officer was robbed at gunpoint in the Ninth Ward while off-duty.
NOPD confirms that the officer was in the 1300 block of Feliciana Tuesday morning when an armed suspect approached him and demanded his money.
The officer complied, and the suspect fled.
The officer was not injured, and he was not in uniform or in a police unit, NOPD said.
NOPD did not say whether there is a suspect in the armed robbery.
