UPDATE: On Wednesday, Aug. 18, the NOPD released the identity of a 25-year-old man they believe is person of interest in a homicide investigation stemming from a fatal shooting in the 7700 block of Shubert Street on Aug. 8.

Investigators are asking the public for assistance in locating Jason Deberry. According to the latest report, Deberry is not wanted as a suspect, but rather for questioning only.

UPDATE: On Tuesday, Aug. 10, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the victim killed in the shooting on Shubert Street. The report shows the victim as 38-year-old Terrell Carter.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The NOPD is asking for the public’s help in finding a vehicle of interest suspected in a shooting that occurred in the 7700 block of Shubert Street on Sunday night.

The incident left one man dead and three other victims – a male and two females – wounded.

The vehicle (shown above) is described as a black 2019 Dodge Ram bearing Louisiana license plate C885622. The truck is believed to have been used by the perpetrator in this incident.
