FRANKLINTON, La. (WGNO) — Officers with the Franklinton Police Department are investigating a dispute that left one person dead and two others wounded on Saturday, June 1.
The FPD reported officers responded to a call of a domestic dispute on Hilltop Avenue around 11 a.m.
At the scene, FPD officers said they found three people who had been shot.
FPD officials said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other people were taken to a hospital before being airlifted to a trauma center.
According to the FPD, “Initial indications suggest this incident may be a murder-suicide. However, the investigation is ongoing.”
FPD officials said they are working with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office for the investigation.
