NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened on Sunday, May 26.
According to NOPD officers, at 10 p.m. they were alerted of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle at the corner of Chef Menteur Highway and Ridgeway Boulevard.
An investigation revealed that after the crash, the vehicle drove off and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
NOPD offices said a description of the vehicle is not available.
