KENNER, La. (WGNO) — A New Orleans man was arrested in Kenner following reports of a Peeping Tom and burglary suspect in the area on Saturday, June 1.
The Kenner Police Department reported the investigation began around 4:30 a.m. when someone called 911 to report that someone was in the living room of their apartment in the 600 block of Vintage Drive.
Kenner police were already in the area investigating trespassing and peeping tom complaints at another apartment complex in the 3800 block of Grandlake Boulevard.
While police searched the Vintage Drive apartment complex for the suspect, another 911 call came in from the same location. The caller said they woke up to find the suspect in her apartment. When she confronted him, he allegedly exposed himself and groped her before leaving.
According to the KPD, 21-year-old Cam’ron Diggs was spotted jumping the fence of the complex into a nearby neighborhood. He was arrested in the 4100 block of Loire Drive.
Investigators said they were able to connect Diggs to the Grandlake Boulevard apartment complex incidents.
He was charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal trespassing, two misdemeanor counts of peeping tom, two felony counts of obscenity, two felony counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, two felony counts of attempt simple burglary, two felony counts of sexual battery, felony aggravated burglary and felony attempt aggravated burglary.
The KPD reported Diggs also had outstanding warrants for obscenity in Jefferson Parish and aggravated assault with a firearm in New Orleans.
