UPDATE: The man who allegedly pulled the trigger and fatally shot a West St. John High School assistant football coach is behind bars.
Kendric Cloud, 25, turned himself in to Baton Rouge police Tuesday evening, authorities said.
Cloud is accused of shooting 27-year-old Juan Joseph.
Police say Cloud was in a car with another man when they got into an argument with Joseph and two other men.
Cloud will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of 2nd degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.
Cloud was accompanied by an attorney Tuesday.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WGNO) – Police in Baton Rouge are looking for 25-year-old Kendric Letrell Cloud of Baker, he is wanted in connection with the shooting death of West St. John High School assistant coach Juan Joseph.
Police say 27-year-old Joseph was shot in a nightclub parking lot in the 4700 block of Bennington Avenue around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday (November 16).
He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Authorities Joseph and two other men were walking toward a car when they got into an argued with two other men in another vehicle. WVLA reports that officials believe the two groups did not know each other and the shooting grew out of the argument.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District released a statement saying they were “saddened” by the loss of Joseph.
Superintendent Kevin George said: “Juan Joseph was not just an employee of this school system, but an important part of the community.”
The school district said extra counselors would be at West St. John High School Monday to assist students and staff members in dealing with the loss of Joseph.
Joseph was an alumnus of West St. John High and was a member of the school’s 2003 and 2004 Class 2A State Championship teams.
He had been a coach at West St. John High School since 2011 and also briefly taught at the school.
Joseph played at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. After his senior season in 2008, he won the Conerly Trophy, given to the top college football player in the state. He is the only player from a Division III school to win the Conerly Trophy.
