NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Louisiana State Police’s Troop NOLA made one arrest following a chase with a stolen Chevrolet Camaro that was reportedly driving recklessly and committing multiple traffic violations on Wednesday, June 12.
The LSP reported the chase began near Elysian Field and Interstate 10, coming to an end when the Camaro hit a bridge rail while exiting the interstate at Orleans Avenue.
The driver was arrested without incident, making this another in a series of several, similar recent chases and arrests involving Troop NOLA.
One involved a Chevrolet Corvette earlier this week, and another with a 2016 Lincoln in early June.
Troop NOLA reports it’s “proactive patrols” have resulted in the seizures of 12 illegally possessed weapons, an assortment of drugs and the recovery of six stolen vehicles.
