NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police are searching for the suspect in a shooting that later led to the death of a 58-year-old man.

The New Orleans Police Department reported Joey Breland saw the suspect get into his car in the 4500 block of Camelot Drive in New Orleans East around 8:33 a.m. on Jan. 12. He tried to regain control of his car, but the suspect shot him multiple times.

According to the NOPD, the suspect left the scene and Breland was taken to a hospital. On Jan. 19, he died from his injuries.

The suspect was pictured wearing a brown beanie, a black hoodie, blue jeans and brown shoes.
