‘Suspicious death’ of Pearl River man under investigation

PEARL RIVER, La. (WGNO) — Deputies with the St. Tammany Parish Sherif’s Office are investigating a “suspicious death” that happened in the Pearl River area.

According to STPSO deputies, at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, they responded to a home in the 67000 block of Slaughter Drive in reference to 74-year-old Douglas LaFrance, who was found dead on his front porch.

According to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office, the results of an autopsy confirmed LaFrance’s death to be ruled as a homicide.
