NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The NOPD is searching for two suspects caught on tape firing a gun on Bourbon Street early this morning.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on November 16 near the intersection of Bourbon and St. Peters Street, according to the NOPD.
The first officers on the scene found no one who had been injured in the shooting, and the suspects had already fled the scene.
Officers later found two handguns believed to have been used in the shooting in a trash can in the 700 block of St. Peters.
A review of surveillance cameras from area businesses revealed two unknown black males firing handguns at the intersection of Bourbon and St. Peters before fleeing down St. Peters toward the river.
The first suspect is described as a black male with shoulder length dreadlocks and wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, a gray baseball cap and a wristwatch on his left wrist. The second suspect is described as a black male with short hair who was wearing a red plaid shirt with a gray hood and a white shirt underneath. He also wore a watch on his left wrist.
