NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The two men, who were killed in a quadruple shooting in the Seventh Ward last week, have been identified.
The New Orleans Police Department reported officers responded to the shooting around 1 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at the corner of AP Tureaud Avenue and North Roman Street.
Four victims were found shot at the scene. One was pronounced dead while the others were taken to a hospital for treatment. A second victim later died from his wounds.
Chief Deputy Superintendent Hans Ganthier said in a news conference that someone in a white pickup truck pulled up to the location and started shooting, striking the four victims, who were standing on the corner.
On Monday, March 25, the Orleans Parish coroner identified the victims who were killed as 64-year-old Reginald Thompson and 56-year-old Farrell Davis.
Officials with Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans announced that an award of up to $5,000 will be given to tipsters with information on the shooting.
