NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Gunmen have hit a third New Orleans restaurant within a week. The NOPD says the armed suspect held up a Pizza Hut in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard.

The robbery happened Saturday, July 16 about 1:30 a.m.

Authorities say a gunman entered the building behind an employee who was taking out the trash. The suspect then told the employees to put money from the registers into a black bag. They complied, and the suspect fled.

The suspect is described as a man 5’5″ or 5’6″, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black chef pants, black and red socks, white gloves and a white baseball hat. He was also wearing sunglasses and an American flag bandana that covered his face.

On Thursday, July 14, two masked men entered an Uptown restaurant a little before 11 p.m. The suspects demanded money from workers and emptied the restaurant’s register. Nobody was hurt. See surveillance video from the Noodle & Pie restaurant robbery here.

48 hours before that attack, two masked men held up patrons and employees at the Lakeview Harbor restaurant in Mid-City. See surveillance video of that robbery here.
