St. John The Baptist Parish (WGNO) – The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District is saddened to learn of the passing of West St. John High School Quarterbacks Coach Juan Joseph.

Joseph, a non-faculty CECP football coach at WSJH, was killed Sunday in Baton Rouge.

“Juan Joseph was not just an employee of this school system, but an important part of the community,” Superintendent Kevin George said. “Our prayers are with his family, as well as the entire West St. John High family.”

Extra counselors are scheduled to be on the West St. John High School campus on Monday to assist students and staff members in dealing with his loss.

Joseph, a coach at West St. John High School since 2011 and former teacher at the school, was also an alumnus and a member of the Rams 2003 and 2004 Class 2A State Championship teams.
