(CNN) — Charlize Theron won an Oscar in 2004 for portraying real-life serial killer Aileen Wuornos, and now FX’s “American Horror Story” is bringing Wuornos back as a character.
Lily Rabe, who has portrayed no less than the devil in a past season of “Horror Story,” will be portraying Wuornos, who was convicted and executed for six murders.
The Wuornos character will be part of the two-part Halloween episode of this fall’s “American Horror Story: Hotel.”
Lady Gaga will play the mistress of ceremonies in a way, as the owner of the titular creepy hotel.
Other new faces this season will include Matt Bomer (“White Collar”) and Max Greenfield (“New Girl”).
Then there’s “Horror Story” veteran Denis O’Hare, who is playing Elizabeth Taylor, but not exactly.
“I play Liz Taylor, movie icon,” he said at the Television Critics’ Association’s press event on Friday, as quoted by the Los Angeles Times
“I’m not actually playing Elizabeth Taylor but I’m playing a person who is inspired by the awesomeness of ‘Butterfield Eight’ and ‘Cleopatra,’ and eye makeup like that. I shaved my head for the part, and other body parts.”
Other returning veterans include Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Chloe Sevigny and Sarah Paulson.
“American Horror Story: Hotel” premieres October 7 on FX.
