METAIRIE, LA (WGNO) — If you haven’t been out to a Zephyrs game this season, you take a swing at it.  Our Curt Sprang and his son catch several games every season.  But Tuesday night’s was special for Curt.

The Z’s were rained out Monday night, so they played two on Tuesday.  They dropped the first game 1-0 to Sacramento but won the second 0-3.

As for Curt’s pitch, he said he was nervous and only had a few goals.  One, don’t bounce it. Two, don’t hit the mascot.  And three, don’t to anything to make someone charge the mound.  Click on the video button above to see why Curt was all smiles after his throw.

Also, kids at the game were able to get an autograph from Marlins’ star player Dee Gordon.  His batting average led the National League last year, but Gordon was suspended for the first half of this season on PED accusations.
