NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Saturday is Museum Day Live across the country, which means you can visit some of the city’s most popular museums for free.

The list of free museums visits on Saturday includes the National World War II Museum, recently named the fourth best museum in America by TripAdvisor.

Other museums you can visit for free are the Ogden Museum of Southern Art; the New Orleans Museum of Art; the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium; Longue Vue House and Gardens; the 1850 House; the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum; Southern Food and Beverage Museum and the Museum of the American Cocktail; The Cabildo; The Historic New Orleans Collection, and the New Orleans Jazz Museum at the old U.S. Mint.

Museum Day Live is put on every year by the Smithsonian Institution. You have to go to the Smithsonian website to download your free ticket.
