NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)— “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” is set to open at the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World this summer.

“Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” has ties to New Orleans since the new attraction is based on the Disney movie “The Princess & The Frog,” which took place in the Big Easy.

For the attraction, Disney has created audio-animatronic figures. The ride will be filled with a whole “swampful” of friendly critters and neighbors joining Tiana on her adventures.

Of course, there will also be wonderful New Orleans music featured on the attraction with sounds of jazz, and zydeco music.

Disney collaborated with music legends PJ Morton and Terrence Blanchard for new, original music for the ride, alongside some of the famous tunes from “The Princess & The Frog.”

Disney spokespeople say the ride will feature a 50-foot drop that ends with a cool wave of water.

The ride will be all about Tiana’s dreams coming true. In “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure,” Tiana will be throwing a festive Mardi Gras party to thank her family, friends and community for all the support that they’ve given her now that she’s become a successful business owner.

“Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” is set to open at Walt Disney World this summer and later in 2024 at Disneyland.
