NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Organizers of Wednesday at the Square announced Tuesday, April 9 that the concert set for Wednesday, April 10 has been postponed.
The announcement was made due to weather concerns, according to event organizers.
WGNO meteorologists say a storm system is expected to move through the area on Wednesday and will possibly be the most impactful day of the week. Storms are expected to become severe, bringing with them heavy rainfall and potential flooding.
According to the National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center, New Orleans, the Northshore and the Mississippi Gulf Coast are outlined for a Level 4 threat of severe weather.
Concert organizers say they are working to reschedule the concert featuring Erica Falls & Vintage Soul with Slugger and that an update will be issued soon.
