NEW ORLEANS-The Army Corps of Engineers closed all bays at the Bonnet Carre Spillway today.

The bays were open to divert water from the Mississippi River to Lake Pontchartrain.

This was the first time the spillway has been opened three years in a row.

This also marks the first time the public was not allowed to see the water flow due to social distancing protocols.
