Leaders at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier Parish have extended a public health emergency declaration at the base.
Base Commander Colonel Michael Miller made the announcement on Sunday.
The declaration, which limits public access to the base, is extended through August 6. Miller says anyone caught in violation will be detained.
