NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Bicycling Magazine released its latest ranking of top 50 cities in the U. S. for bicycling.  New Orleans is #19 on the list, up from #22 in 2014.

The publication praises New Orleans for the Lafitte Greenway, the growing number of people who use their bicycles for commuting, and the regular social events for cyclists.

The magazine says its editorial team also spoke with bike advocates and everyday riders.

So which city is the best for bicyclists?  Bicycling Magazine gives Chicago the top spot, ousting New York which fell to #4.  San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle also made the top 5.  You can see the entire report by clicking here.
