Susy: “The NOLA Home show is this weekend and if you’re looking to redo a bathroom you can get tips from a pro.”

LBj: “Our Ann Cutler sat down with Bath Crashers Matt Muenster.”

Anne: “Thank you so much for coming on and stopping by.”

Matt: “Thank you for having me. I don’t get to do both this and get to sit behind a bar simultaneously often.

Anne: “From the bathroom to the bar this works. This works.”

Matt: “I put bars in bathrooms so this is not a big stretch.”

Anne: “You’re here for the NOLA Home show this weekend a great event. Tell me about this what’s going on?”

Matt: “I kinda dig doing this. I’m not going to lie they are fun. I get to go on stage. I’m going to be on stage 4 times this weekend. Today, twice tomorrow, once on Sunday. I’ve got my spiel right, I do bathroom stuff and that’s kind of my thing. We’ve done 12. We’ve just finished our twelfth season of Bath Crashers. 156 episodes. I’m not going to do the math for you, but it’s somewhere in there. We’ve learned a lot. The whole idea of getting on stage is. I’m going to tell you what I know. You learn a lot. Impart a little bit of knowledge of what I think is important, but ideally mostly if you come down mostly interrupt me. Ask me questions. Throw me off my game. Ask me about bathrooms. Ask me not about bathrooms. Ask me about what it’s like to do TV. Any of that stuff is fun for me. Anytime I don’t do the same presentation twice.
Yeah, mix it up, please.”

Anne: “We are a little crazy down here in New Orleans. We’re happy to mix it up for you.”

Matt: “I’ve experienced a little bit of that yeah.”

Anne:  “You’ve been down here before actually filmed down here.”

Matt: “We’ve done 2 crashes here. They are almost a year ago. There were a lot more parades going by my hotel room during carnival season. In hindsight something that looks delicious on paper. I want to go to New  Orleans, why wouldn’t I go during basically Mardi Gras? Expect for the whole I need to work part. That’s the thing about this show it’s hard. It’s for real and you do it fast. You get bathrooms done lickity split. It’s unreal. We did them within a week when we were here. It takes a village. It takes a really solid village. There are no stragglers in this village. It takes everyone working together in an amazing coordination. A lot of times, I’m doing things, but I’m also puppeteering a little bit. Everything has got to keep going. If suddenly everyone is not moving we are done. Yeah, it’s over at that point. So everything has got to keep in motion always and that’s kind of the high of the job. You are kind of at battle with these people you are entrenched. You’re not coming home till it’s done.”

Anne: “Alright we can’t wait to hear more of your tips and your expertise at the home show. Thanks so much for coming on we appreciate it.”

Matt: “We’ve got all this stuff here. Come ask questions. There is color, there is finishes, but ask me more. Come on down come hang out. This is a great chance to see people who watch the show. I’m talking to a camera mostly in a small bathroom, so these are people that keep me on television. Actual real interaction. Interaction with real people come see me.”

Anne: “Thank you we appreciate it. Again Matt is appearing numerous times throughout the weekend. The home show runs all the way through Sunday.”
