New Orleans (WGNO)–Volunteers put American flags on more than 14,000 veterans’ graves at the Chalmette National Cemetery.
It takes about 3 hours to get all those flags in place.
The cemetery is located where the Battle of New Orleans took place almost 200 years ago.
It was founded as a burial ground for Union soldiers in 1864.
There will be a ceremony honoring the veterans buried at the cemetery on Sunday at 12:30p.
