Late Saturday morning, Sheriff Newell Normand issued a second degree murder warrant for 23-year-old Antoine Wallace of 1428 N. Dilton St. in Metairie.
Tuesday, JPSO officers were dispatched to a subject shot in the 400 block of North Laurel Street in Metairie.
Responding officers located the body of a black man, 35-year-old Jeremiah Majlio, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators located witnesses who identified Wallace as the person who shot Majlio.
As a result, an arrest warrant for second degree murder was issued for Wallace.
Numerous attempts to locate and arrest Wallace have been unsuccessful.
