AVONDALE,La (WGNO)- A birdie and a fist pump for Justin Rose on 18 of the 2015 Zurich Classic sealed it for Rose. Justin Rose met with reporter via Facetime at his home in the Bahamas as he prepares for next week’s Master’s. Rose remembers the set up leading to the birdie putt on 18.
“Trying to make birdie on 17, I hit a great five iron in there. I was left of the pin and the water. It’s probably not where you’re aiming but I was trying to hit an agressive shot.” Rose said.
This year’s Zurich Classic will feature the best in the world with names like Jason Day, coming off his win at last week’s WGC- Dell Match Play in Austin, Texas, and Rickie Fowler, who is currently fifth in the world golf rankning.
“These guys are the best in the world for the hardcore golfer they can go see those guys at the same time if golf isn’t your first priority with the food, fun and concerts and everything going on.” says Fore! Kids Fountain President Steve Worthy.
The Zurich Classic of New Orleans tees off April 28- May 1st at the TPC Louisiana Course in Avondale, La.
