KENNER, La.(WGNO) – Work crews were still at the scene at 4 a.m. Thursday, working to repair a broken water main near the intersection of Williams Blvd. and Veterans Blvd. in Kenner.
The sinkhole formed early yesterday afternoon as a result of the broken water main.
All eastbound traffic on Veterans at Williams is still being diverted north and south on Williams while westbound Veterans traffic is being diverted back east at Georgia. There is currently only one northbound Williams lane open.
Traffic will be restricted at the busy intersection through this evening at the earliest, according to the city of Kenner.
