UPDATE: Civil District Court will be reopen Monday, May 21.
NEW ORLEANS – Orleans Parish Civil District Court has been closed after elevator service in the building failed.
The courthouse on Loyola Avenue closed just after 11:30 a.m.
The building will remain closed until the elevator can be brought back online.
Crews are working to restore elevator service.
