UPDATE: The gas leak has been fixed, and the evacuation has been lifted.
METAIRIE, La. — A high pressure gas leak has been reported at Airline Park Boulevard and West Metairie Avenue in Metairie.
According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Fourth District Officers have closed Airline Park and Merle streets as crews work to fix the leak.
There’s been an evacuation of the immediate area.
There are no reports of any injuries.
