NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Rebecca Glover, the aunt of Henry Glover, held a press conference Wednesday morning in front of District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro’s office to demand that he pursue charges against former NOPD officer David Warren for the death of her nephew.

Henry Glover’s burned remains were discovered in the days following hurricane Katrina, but just last week the coroner reclassified the death from ‘undetermined’ to a ‘homicide.’

David Warren admitted to shooting Glover but was cleared of federal charges. The Glover family hopes with the new classification from the coroner, the DA will consider new charges.

“Everybody else is running free, Henry’s not running free and they had no right to steal his life like that cause that’s what they did like a thief in the night,” says Rebecca Glover.

Community groups, friends and supporters were in attendance Wednesday.
