GOLDEN MEADOW, LA – A Golden Meadow man has been arrested for child abuse after police say he beat his child with a belt multiple times.
The October 5 incident left the child with large bruises, according to the Golden Meadow Police Department.
Thirty-three-year-old Justin Lee Smothers was arrested and charged with cruelty to juveniles.
He was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
