NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Louisiana 47 Paris Road bridge, also known as the “Green Bridge,” will be temporarily closed due to construction.
According the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the closure is due to crews working on structural rehabilitation during an ongoing construction project.
DOTD officials say this is the first of six, full weekend closures planned over the next few months.
The “Green Bridge” will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, until 5 a.m. Monday, April 22.
Travelers going northbound on Louisiana 47 to Interstate 510 will be detoured to Louisiana 39, Elysian Fields, Interstate 10, back onto Interstate 510.
Those traveling southbound on Interstate 510 to Louisiana 47 will be detoured to Interstate 10, Elysian Fields, Louisiana 39 back onto Louisiana 47.
The next closure is planned to start May 3 and is expected to end May 6.
